Lt. Gen. Pradeep M. Bali retired from military service after an illustrious career spanning 39 years. He has held numerous staff, instructional, and command appointments. These also include foreign tenures as a senior staff officer with UN Force HQ in Somalia and as Defence Attaché at the Embassy of India in Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, Republic of Korea. The General has also served as DG Perspective Planning at Army HQ and commanded the Sikkim based 33 Corps during the Doklam crisis against the PLA. He has been bestowed with gallantry and distinguished service awards. He contributes regularly to think tanks on security and supports Startups through mentorship. He is a specialist for Long term Vision and planning for the organization.

He has 38 years of Army service as a mechanised infantry officer. He was the General Officer Commanding of a Mountain Strike Division in the East. He holds formal Army certification on Armored Fighting Vehicles related technology, specific to Automotive, electro optronic, Radiocommunications, and Armament. He has served two tenures in the Mechanised Forces Directorate of Army HQs and has also been the Project Manager of NAG Anti Tank Missile Development Project. He holds experience in the conduct of new eqpt trials, specially Anti-tank missiles and Night Vision Sights in High Altitude Areas and also of Infantry combat vehicles Simulators. He has been exposed to Japanese and US armed forces during his one year of International Relations and Military Strategy course study at the National Institute of Defence Studies, Tokyo, Japan.
